Johnnyreds Victory crushes rivals in GLADA Trot

Northfield, Ohio…Nov. 5, 2025…What The Hill is going on in the Great Lakes Amateur Driving Association (GLADA) feature at Northfield Park?

Johnnyreds Victory, a five-year-old altered son of What The Hill absolutely destroyed his harness racing competition on Tuesday (Nov. 4) over this ultra-fast Ohio half mile oval, scoring for trainer-driver Edward Miller in a lifetime best performance, stopping the timer in 1:56.

Leaving briskly off the wings, Johnnyreds Victory put up all the numbers—:29.3, :58.1 and 1:27 while striding away to a win measuring over 13 lengths with a :29 finale, eclipsing his former mark of 1:56.2 over the larger 5/8ths mile Scioto Down track two seasons back..

Left in the winner’s wake were Fox Valley Naurtica, driven by Larry Ferrari with Indianaslittlepete another half-length back in this for Ryan Deaton.

Swan Leader was fourth for Lauren Harmon while Lousraptor earned the nickel for Jill Brown.

Once the gate’s wings swung open, Johnnyreds Victory, leaving from post two, looked to have some company as Race Day (post six) and Vroom N Vonnie (post eight) were in flight, as well, with Race Day finding a cozy spot in third with Vroom N Vonnie hung out to dry like wet laundry.

After the half, Johnnyreds Victory accelerated with his final half mile in :57.4,  leaving him all alone at the wire.

In a post race interview, Miller said, “I sure didn’t expect a performance. I thought he was in a good spot but never expected 1:56.

“You know, he was just doing this on his own…he felt really good…and when I saw the 1:56 up there, I was really surprised because he did it so easy on his.

“I’ll attribute it to the great care he gets in the stable!!!!!!!”

Edward Miller also trains Johnnyreds Victory for Rebecca Sugg and Jamie Miller and sent the trotter’s 2025 scorecard to 4-2-3 in 27 starts, good for $35,676 and $116,493 lifetime.

Off at 1 to 5 on the tote-board, Johnnyreds Victory paid $2.40 to his multitude of faithful.

The 28-year-old Miller, by the way, now has a lofty .625 batting average (UDRS) in the bike this season with 19 wins in 37 starts—25 of those 37 on the “board”—to go along with his 128 training wins with his earnings well over $1,000,000 for the fifth straight year.

The Great Lakes Amateur Driving Association is one of several amateur clubs through the United States promoting and assisting charitable causes benefitting local communities and encompassing national organizations as all GLADA members generously donate all driving earnings earned in their events.
