10-1 shot Jubliee Queen overcame post eight and a taxing first-over trip and out-kicked the two favourites to take the Monticello Raceway harness racing feature pace on Thursday.
Driver Jim Devaux improved the fillyās position leaving the gate as he settled her into fourth. Father Fred (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) drove on from the outside and acquired the front in a :28 first quarter mile. Jubilee Queen launched a first-over initiative approaching the half in :57.3 and steadily advanced. She drew level with the leader passing three-quarters in 1:26.2, and Beach Blogger (Greg Merton) made it a three-way duel in the stretch as he made a move up the inside.
Jubilee Queen proved she had the most left despite her outside trip and finished better to win by a half-length in 1:55.2. Beach Bloggerās rail rally earned him second; Father Fred was relegated to third. The winner paid $22.50.
