Karma Seelster (Sportswriter) and harness racing driver Jordan Stratton were able to lead from start to finish in capturing the $36,000 Fillies & Mares Open Handicap Pace Friday (July 7) at Yonkers Raceway.
Leaving from post four in the 3rd race feature, Stratton put Karma Seelster right on the lead and they never had to look back. Cutting fractions of :27.4, :56.3 and 1:23.4 with no one pulling on a right line, Karma Seelster won with ease by two lengths in a speedy 1:51.1. The pocket-sitting race favorite Drama Act (George Brennan) was second with Violets Rainbow (Daniel Dube) third.
KARMA SEELSTER REPLAY
It was the third straight win and sixth of the year for Karma Seelster. The six-year-old mare is trained by Andrew Adamczyk for owner Karen Hauver and the Shady Hill Racing Stable. She paid $6.30 to win.
