Kinnder Hotblood in full control

Kinnder Hotblood (Kadabra) captures the $7500 featured trot at Vernon Downs on Thursday (June 19).

Zapaca (Frank Affrunti) was first to the quarter in :27.2.   Kinnder Hotblood ($4.00) took over control heading down the backstretch and led to the half in :56.2.  Zapaca came first-up to challenge heading down the backstretch.  Kinnder Hotblood was first to three-quarters in 1:26,1.

Kinnder Hotblood (Jimmy Whittemore) and second place finisher Zapaca were slugging it out as they reached the stretch.  Kinnder Hotblood broke free and won in 1:55.2.  Jesmach On Target (Chris Long finished third.

Kinnder Hotblood is a 4-year-old mare by Kadabra.  She is owned by Janie Kellog and trained by Jimmy Whittemore.  It was her second win this season.  She now has eight career trips to the winner’s circle.

Jimmy Whittemore and Chris Long each drove three winners on the card.  Joe Nassimos and Jeff Sorenson had training doubles.
