Kj Erich wins Charlie Hoffman Pace

KJ Erich (Roll With Joe) trained by Scott Mongeon, won Saturday (Dec. 10) night’s $22,500 Charlie Hoffman Pace harness racing final at Saratoga Raceway.

After winning the first leg of the series, and then finishing 3rd last week, the 9-year-old and driver Jimmy Devaux were able to take the lead after the half-mile marker and cruised to an easy victory in 1:55.3, pacing home in a last quarter of 28.4. Maximum Ideal (Jay Randall) was second with Gibus (Mcgwire Sowers) was third.
