DAYTON, OH. – The ultra-consistent Velocity Lady (Bettor’s Delight) and harness racing driver Brady Galliers won her third Open Mares Pace of the current Hollywood Dayton meet on Friday (Nov. 25), upending last week’s winner Ainthesamewithoutu (Tony Hall) and favored Rockin Nola (Joey Putnam) in a brisk 1:50.3 mile.
Dispatched at 4-1 odds, the winner sat a perfect pocket trip behind Rockin Nola as the best mares in the region breezed through fractions of :26.3, :55 and 1:22.2 before storming home to the wire in :28.1.
Galliers, who also co-owns and trains Velocity Lady, popped the pocket at the head of the homestretch and hurriedly opened up a several length lead. Ainthesamewithoutu rallied up the passing lane to grab the place money with Rockin Nola saving the show spot.
It was the eighth seasonal victory for Velocity Lady and raised her 2022 earnings to $133,265. The five-year-old mare took a record of 1:49.4 on November 4 at Dayton. Owned by Galliers Racing LLC and Look Ahead Racing LLC, Velocity Lady is approaching $180,000 in career purse rewards. She paid $10.80 to win.

In a $17,500 high condition undercard event for mares, Princess Rougarou (Big Bad John) and driver Chris Page bested A Special Moment (Hall) and Stay Gold (Josh Sutton). Owner Will Johnson also trains the seven-year-old mare who returned $16.60 to her backers.
18-year-old Koltin Noble, the son of Dan Noble and grandson of the late Chip Noble, scored his first pari-mutuel win at Hollywood Dayton Raceway on Friday. The fourth-generation horseman guided American Music (American Ideal), trained by Dan Dubeansky, to a 10-1 triumph in 1:54.3 over Contact Zone (Trevor Smith) and The Fear Is Real (Brady Galliers). Although the youngest Noble reinsman has had some success at Ohio county fairs, his first commercial track success came in his 16th try. He paid $23.20 to win.
