Plainville, MA — Friday (Nov. 28) afternoon was the closing day of live harness racing at Plainridge Park and in the day’s top event, Meadowlands invader Ladysassin (Perfect Sting) took the final feature with an easy win in the $15,000 juvenile conditioned event in the day’s first race.

Brett Beckwith got away third early with Ladysassin, but was out and rolling past the eighth pole and crossed over to the lead in front of the stands. Ladysassin then got to the half in :56.4 and three-quarters in 1:25.4 before taking her two length lead into the final turn. Ladysassin maintained her gapped advantage to the top of the lane and then cruised home under Beckwith wraps to win in 1:56.

LADYSASSIN REPLAY

Ladysassin ($2.40) is owned by Micheal Edward Eaton Jr. and Robert Griffin and trained by Mike Eaton.

Nick Graffam had a driving double during the afternoon while nine different trainers each won one race.

Plainridge Park held a trackside presentation for the leading horse people of the 2025 meet.

Gretchen Athearn was the leading trainer with 53 wins and $796,344 in earnings and the leading driver was Bruce Ranger, who had 146 wins with purses totalling $1,914,596.

The staff and management of Plainridge Park would like to thank everyone who patronized the track this year, wish everyone the best for a wonderful holiday season and look forward to seeing everyone back at The Ridge in April of 2026.
