Convincing front-end score for Last Bet

WASHINGTON, PA, June 7, 2023 — Parked the entire opening panel, Last Bet (Bettor’s Delight-West of LA) still had plenty in the tank to score convincingly in Wednesday’s (June 7) harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $13,400 Claiming Handicap Pace.

The 1-1 favorite, Last Bet wrested the early lead from Western Perch. The pair raced that way through the wire, with Last Bet prevailing by x in 1:52. Golden Gesture was a ground-saving third.

Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. piloted the winner, a 5-year-old gelding who boosted his career bankroll to $127,381, for owner/trainer Stacey Currie.

Aaron Merriman and Wrenn each collected three wins on the 12-race card.
