The first nineteen yearlings by harness racing champion racehorse Lazarus N enter the most prestigious sale on the Continent next week, the Lexington Select Yearling Sale.
Most harness racing breeders and fans know this super star’s power, performance and pedigree but just in case you have forgotten what this remarkable stallion achieved on the racetrack in North America here are the facts;
- His first start was in a qualifier at The Meadowlands on the 28th of July 2018 where Lazarus N paced his mile in a staggering 1:48.3 winning the qualifier with a last quarter in 25.3. Behind him that day was the fastest horse in history Lather Up 1:46 ($1,917,935) and world record holder This Is The Plan 1:47.3h ($2,554,017) amongst others. To put this race into perspective you have to remember that Lazarus N was shipped to the other side of the world on the 24th of May after a three month spell down under. He had been in work just eight weeks work prior to this qualifier. That was an amazing result and rare training feat for Lazarus N and all involved!
Here is the qualifier at The Meadowlands.
