Lazarus N filly captures $48,000 NJ Standardbred Developement Final

Two $48,000 harness racing finals of the New Jersey Standardbred Development series were run at The Meadowlands today with the Fillies division taken out by the speedy filly Please Be You (Lazarus N – Cheyenne Trish).

Please Be You got crossed early and ended up second last mid race. With 600m to go driver Scott Zeron eased Please be You off the pegs and charged home in the straight closing quickly to get a narrow decision right on the post.

Worklifebalance (Cattlewash) was a nose away in second place and the public elect Beach Babe was not far away in third.

The winner clocked a quick 1:50.3 for the mile.

The colts and geldings division was won by the Cattlewash gelding Smooth Dream (Todd McCarthy) in 1:49.3
