Every harness racing breeder and stallion owner worries about that first season that is so important for a first-year stallion, and those that have supported world champion pacer Lazarus N have not been disappointed.
So far this week Lazarus Nās two-year-olds reached 25 winners from 92 foals and more than half of those winners, 14, are fillies.
On Wednesday, August 31 at Harrahās Philadelphia, there were two winners on the card by Lazarus N.
The first was the filly Wall Of Blue, who notched her second win in five starts with a 1:55, wire-to-wire triumph for driver Tim Tetrick, trainer Jim King, Jr. and co-owners Joanne Looney-King and Ken Frieder. Wall Of Blue is from the Somebeachsomewhere mare, Misssomebeach Blue.

Then in the very next race, Lifes A Puzzle and driver Tim Tetrick were able to come first-over at the three-quarters and come on in the stretch to win in 1:53.4. It was the second win in just four starts for Lifes A Puzzle, who is trained by Jim King, Jr. for owner Richard Humphrey. Lifes A Puzzle is from the Somebeachsomewhere mare L Dees Lioness.

Then on Monday it was three winners starting with Annaās Wish at Pocono Downs. She was able to come from off the pace to win in 1:54.2 for driver Braxten Boyd. It was her first win in six starts for trainer Chris Freck and owner Anthony Olswfski. She is from the Art Official mare, Keystone I Wish.

At Grand River Raceway in Canada on Monday, Two Pistol Annie overcame starting from post 8 for driver Colin Kelly, winning in a romp by six and one-quarter lengths in 1:55. Last week she also won in a romp by six and one-half lengths. It was her second win in four starts and a lifetime mark. From the Cambest mare Magical Bestern, Two Pistol Annie is trained by Julie Robinson and co-owned by Brenda K Selwyn Waxman and Tess Waxman.

On Monday at Ocean Downs in Maryland, Naked Truth was able to lead from start to finish in 1:58.1 for driver Jonathan Roberts. From the Somebeachsomewhere mare, Skinny Dipper, it was her second win and a lifetime mark. She is trained by Michael Hall for owner-breeder Let It Ride Stable.
