HAMBURG, N.Y. — It took a three way photo to separate the winner in Buffalo Raceway’s featured $13,000 pace for the fillies and mares on Wednesday afternoon (March 26) and it was Legal Jeopardy (Stay Hungry-Legal Wish) who squeaked out the head harness racing victory over Get Answers while Do Me Over was a tough luck third.

Do Me Better, starting from the seven post, fired off from the starting car and managed to collect splits of :28.0, :57.1 and 1:27.1 over the good track. But down the stretch, Do Me Better (Joseph Chindano Jr.) was being attacked on the inside by Legal Jeopardy (David McNeight III) and on the outside by Get Answers (Drew Monti).
The trio battled right until the final strides where a photo showed Legal Jeopardy sneaking in front while Get Answers and Do Me Better.
Trained by co-owner Maria Rice and Jack Rice, the 5-year-old Legal Jeopardy ($9.80) has collected two victories in six appearances in 2025. Her seasonal bankroll improved to $20,035 and to $110,681 in her career.
In the top event on the undercard, the $10,500 pace for the ladies, Bolt Of Beauty ($4.50) made it two straight victories by topping McVera by a length in 1:57.2.

Rightfully Mine carved out the earlier fractions with splits of :28.4 and :58.3. But things looked different with a panel to go as Rightfully Mine had no answers as Bolt Of Beauty (McNeight III) made steady progress with a first over move down the backstretch, reaching the top with a quarter mile to pace.
Through the stretch, Bolt Of Beauty had no challengers as McVera made a subtle attempt but came up a non-threatening three-quarter lengths behind. Atlantic Star (Chindano Jr.) rolled in for third.
Owned by Going On Drive LLC and conditioned by David Russo, it was the second victory in eight starts on the season for the 8-year-old Bolt Of Beauty (Bolt The Duer-Natural Luck). The triumph pushed her seasonal earnings to $20,870 and to $408,784 lifetime.
Monti and Kevin Cummings finished the afternoon’s festivities with three victories with McNeight III, Kyle Cummings and Shawn McDonough all notching doubles. McDonough and David Russo had two training wins.
Racing will resume on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with a 13-race program scheduled.
