HAMBURG, N.Y. — Legal Jeopardy (Stay Hungry) made it two consecutive harness racing victories on Wednesday afternoon (Apr 09) at Buffalo Raceway by streaking down the stretch to take a three quarter length win over American Jazz in the featured $11,000 pace for the fillies and mares. She covered the mile in 1:58.3 over the fast track.

It was a great day for owner/trainer Maria and Jack Rice as they enjoyed Legal Jeopardy ($22.40) taking the feature while two of their other charges, Arco N ($4.80) and Whats The Point ($14.60) also found the winner’s circle. Driver David McNeight III guided the trio to all the victories.
There was plenty of action on the front end early as Mary Kat (Kyle Cummings) took the early advantage with Big Bad Mosa settling into the pocket. After splits of :29.2 and :59.0, things heated up down the backstretch the final time.
Bettor B Sawyer was first up and first over, taking over after hitting the three quarter marker in 1:28.4. But Big Bad Mosa (Kevin Cummings) was in high gear and showed the way hitting the top of the stretch. Legal Jeopardy, who was fourth turning for home, roared on the outside and was able to drive past American Jazz (Drew Monti) thanks to a :29.2 last marker. Big Bad Mosa (Kevin Cummings) held on for third.
In seven starts in 2025, Legal Jeopardy has hit the board in all appearances, notching three victories along the way. The 5-year-old Legal Jeopardy (Stay Hungry-Legal Wish) has produced $25,435 in earnings this year and $116,181 lifetime.
Racing will continue on Friday afternoon with a nine race program set. There’s a $1,490 carryover in the Pick 5 which begins in the second race.
