Leonard’s Legacy capitalizes for 13-1 upset

13-1 longshot Leonard’s Legacy (Tobago Cays) sat a pocket trip behind harness racing leader Can’t Beach That and passed him to the inside in the final strides to score a win in the $17,500 Maryland Exclusive Handicap Pace at Rosecroft Thursday night (Feb. 2).

Trae Porter drove the winner for Breeder-Owner Leonard Hubbard and Trainer Basil Sapienza. Leonard’s Legacy paced the mile in 1:51.3 and paid $28.40 to win.

It was one of two wins on the card for Porter, while Jonathan Roberts and Russell Foster each won three times.
