Let It Ride N strolls to popular win

WASHINGTON, PA, Dec. 9, 2022 — Hammered down to 1-9, Let It Ride N (Rock N Roll Heaven-Love A Gamble) lived up to harness racing expectations Friday (Dec. 9) at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, capturing the $19,300 Open Handicap Pace in a nifty 1:49.3.

Let It Ride N yielded the early lead to Surreal Ideal but roared right back to the point at the quarter. From there, the race for win was effectively over, as the 9-year-old gelding scored easily for driver Dave Palone, a length better than Surreal Ideal, with Sandbetweenmytoes a rallying third.

LET IT RIDE N REPLAY

Michael Hitchcock trains the winner, who now has banked $718,068, for William Hartt and Enzed Racing Stable Inc. Palone collected four wins on the 13-race card, giving him seven over the last two programs.

The Jackpot Super Hi-5, swollen by days of carryovers, was knocked down, with the winning ticket worth $26,360.96.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Tuesday when the program features a $1,334.07 carryover in the Jackpot Pick 5 (race 4). First post is 12:45 PM.
