Little Instigator

Nichols, NY – Little Instigator (Heston Blue Chip) took tonight’s feature $9,500 conditioned pace for the ladies at Tioga Downs, but not without a fight.

Settled in fourth early by Mike Merton, who instigated a sweet cover ride for his charge by enticing brother Tom Merton aboard favored Chillin Bythe Pool to pull up the backside and engage early leader So Diva, driven by, you guessed it, Greg Merton. Fact is, the Mertons were three across at the 1:24.4 six panels before Mike and Little Instigator crossed over then held sway for the 1:55.3 decision.

LITTLE INSTAGATOR REPLAY

It was the eighth win in fourteen tries, putting Little Instigator over the $50,000 mark this season for William & Sarah Macmillan. Joe Skowyra trains the winner.
