Lone Wolf feasts on feature field

WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 25, 2023  — Hammered down to 1-5, Lone Wolf Jake endured a demanding opening panel but drew off late to capture Wednesday’s (Jan. 25) harness racing co-feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $10,900 Conditioned Pace.

Lone Wolf Jake was parked three wide to the lead before crossing over for Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. in a swift 27.2 in the slop. Once on the point, though, the 4-year-old A Rocknroll Dance-Half Past Seven was unthreatened, defeating the pocket-sitting TSM Tristan T by 4-1/2 lengths in a career-best 1:55. Del Cache was a rallying third.

Christen Pantaleano trains the winner for J.C. Ratliff, Rocky Ratliff and Ayers Ratliff.

In Wednesday’s companion feature, a $10,900 Conditioned Trot, Killjoy notched a front-end victory in a career-fastest 1:59.1 for Brady Brown, trainer Dirk Simpson and owner Dirk Simpson Stable Inc. Angie’s Valentine and Importer Exporter completed the ticket.

Dave Palone collected four wins on the 13-race card while Simpson and Wrenn each enjoyed a triple.
