Columbus, MN – The Tuesday night (September 16) harness racing program at Running Aces featured a $15,000 Open II Handicap pace with a full field of nine contestants.

Love Your Work A

Sneaky Hill (Brady Jenson) was sent off as the 2-1 post time favorite while The Blood Bay Colt (Dean Magee) had lots of pari-mutuel support at 5-2 and Mac’s Marvel (Williams Hernandez) was also shown respect as the public’s 4-1 third pick.

Cold Creek Felipe (Scott Cisco) and Don’t Judge A Book (Billy Mann) were the fastest off the car and battled for the top through the :27.2 opening stanza while Sneaky Hill dropped in third and Mac’s Marvel was outside in fourth.

Mac’s Marvel took command just before the :56.2 half mile point while Love Your Work A (Western Terror) and driver Brian Detgen began a first over attack which prompted both The Blood Bay Colt and Rockme Rollme (Rick Magee) to join the outer flow.

Mac’s Marvel was still well in control on the far turn and posted three panels in 1:25 with Love Your Work applying moderate pressure and Tankalicious (Luke Plqano) winding up from the back of the pack.

In the homestretch Mac’s Marvel dug in while Love Your Work A and The Blood Bay Colt both loomed outside of the leader.

Inside the final sixteenth of a mile Love Your Work A found another gear and lunged at the leader in the final strides to get up by a nose over Mac’s Marvel in 1:53.4 with Tankalicious edging out The Blood Bay Colt to complete the trifecta.

LOVE YOUR WORK A REPLAY

Love Your Work A ($33.60) is an 8-year-old son of Western Terror and is also owned and trained by Detgen, and also owned by Sarah Solheid. He now shows seven wins this season and 29 career wins with total earnings of $208,355.

Brady Jenson led the Tuesday night program with a driving triple and a training double.

Live Racing action returns to Running Aces on Friday night (September 19) to kick off closing weekend for the 2025 season. Friday offers a 10-race program that will feature three $25,000 Open events as well as four $15,000 Minnesota Consolation races. Saturday night is the Minnesota Night of Champions with twelve dashes all going for $65,000 each. Post time for both nights is set for 6 p.m. (CDT).
