WASHINGTON, PA, Feb. 9, 2024 — Lunar (Sweet Lou-Crescent City) explored the landscape on the front end and found nary a crater as he pulled of an 11-1 upset in Friday’s (Feb. 9) $19,200 Open Handicap harness racing pace at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Hunter Myers sent Lunar to the top from post 4. Once there, the 6-year-old gelding easily turned back the late challenge from the pocket-sitting Duval Street and downed him by a length in 1:51.2. Sandbetweenmytoes was a ground-saving third.
