First-over Maching Me Zilly grinds out score

WASHINGTON, PA, Aug. 17, 2022 — Maching Me Zilly (Mach Three) moved smartly first over, held off the late charge of Elm Grove Nellie and captured Wednesday’s (Aug. 17) harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $9,900 Filly & Mare Claiming Handicap Pace.

Maching Me Zilly had little trouble clearing her stablemate, Kissmydanceshoes, to reach the point but still faced the threat of Elm Grove Nellie, who was following on her bumper.

The 8-year-old mare responded to Brady Brown’s urging and scored in 1:53.2. Elm Grove Nellie finished 1/2 length back in second, with Gators Ben Winning completed the ticket.

Brandon Presto trains Maching Me Zilly, who lifted her lifetime bankroll to $224,176, for Timmy Ryan, Laura Ryan and Tommy Ryan. The mare has won 23 of 180 career attempts.
