Pompano Beach, FL, February 9 — Director of Racing Gabe Prewitt has announced that a mandatory payout on Pompano Park’s Super Hi-5 finale will take place on Wednesday, night at the famed South Florida harness racing oval.
While making the announcement, Prewitt remarked, “With a carryover of $111,473 going in, we could be looking at a bonanza for the members of the ‘Send It In Army’ and everyone is invited to the party.”
The pool for the mandatory payout could accelerate to several hundred thousand dollars and it’s a rare opportunity to participate in an event that, normally, takes a single winning ticket holder to cash in on the jackpot.
Prewitt continued, “Wouldn’t it be nice is a few people cashed in for $25,000 or $50,000 or $100,000? That’s the opportunity for everyone tonight at The Pomp!”
On Tuesday night, there was a carryover going into the track’s Pick-5 event of over $12,000 and the final net pool for that offering was $166,133 and, despite the fact that the sequence featured winners off at 2 to 5, 1 to 5, 3 to 10, 3 to 1 and 6 to 5, the payout was a generous $69.20 worth for each of the 1,932 winning tickets.
Post time for the Wednesday program is 7:20 p.m.
