Lexington, KY— Max Contract (Huntsville) worked out a perfect second-over trip with harness racing driver Andy Miller in winning the $10,000 Open pace at The Red Mile on Tuesday (Sept. 12).

Yankee B Something left the gate first, taking the lead from the outside. Tyler Shehan and Ideal Feeling made their way into second. Hungry Angel Boy wasn’t far behind in third as they passed the quarter mile in :26.3.
Marvin Luna and Hungry Angel Boy rushed to steal the lead from Yankee B Something. Ideal Feeling followed in third. They passed the half mile mark in :54.2.
Tony Hall and Yankee B Something went to challenge Hungry Angel Boy for the lead as Max Contract followed on the outside and moved into contention. As they passed the three-quarter mile in 1:22.3, Hungry Angel Boy was the leader over Yankee B Something.
At the top of the stretch, Andy Miller and Max Contract surged to the front to pass the leader and pull away for a three-length triumph over Hungry Angel Boy in 1:48.3. Mcthriller (Pat Curtin) came in third.

Max Contract, a 4-year-old mare, is trained by Julie Miller for owners Andy Miller Stable Inc. and Jean Goehlen. She paid $2.96 to win.
