Plainville, MA— After finishing second in his last two starts by only a neck and a nose, Meadowbrook Flash closed the deal on Friday (June 27) in the $14,000 pacing feature at Plainridge Park.

Kevin Switzer Jr. sent Meadowbrook Flash to the point and set fractions of :26.4, :55.3 and 1:24.1 while Colt Bennett (Mitchell Cushing) lurked from the pocket. After rounding the final bend, Meadowbrook Flash took a two length lead into the stretch, but a feisty Colt Bennett made a lunge at the leader in the straight as they headed for the line and made things interesting. But in the end he came up a half-length short as Meadowbrook Flash won in 1:52.4.
