Meadowlands Race Office Report

East Rutherford, NJ – The Meadowlands will have its last draw of the summer harness racing meet on Tuesday, August 2 for Friday and Saturday of Hambletonian weekend. The box will close at 9:00 Tuesday morning.

Scratches and driver changes for both Friday and Saturday will be done on Wednesday. Friday’s board closes at 10AM and Saturday’s at 11:00AM.

The second Kindergarten leg for trotting colts & fillies will be on Friday. The $50,000 Muscle Hill and $30,000 Continentalvictory, open events for 3-year-old trotters that usually draw multiple divisions, may go either day.

The $50,000 Vincennes Preferred trot will be raced on Saturday. $40,000 Opens for pacers including a F&M race are on the sheet as well.

The rest of the stakes will support the Hambletonian and Oaks on Saturday afternoon on a sixteen race card that will offer more than $3.5 million in purses starting at noon.

Post positions for the Hambletonian and Oaks finals will be drawn on Tuesday, August 2, at a luncheon open to the public being hosted by Hogan Equine Clinic in Cream Ridge, NJ from 2-5:00 PM.
