HARNESS RACING SCHEDULE CHANGING
This is the final week of our winter 3-day-per-week racing schedule, Wednesday through Friday afternoons at 12:45.
A BRIEF āXā IN OUR PROGRAM
After the race card concludes this Friday, March 31, we will be taking our annual spring break for track maintenance. When we return on Wednesday, April 12, it will mark the beginning of 4-day per week racing through the spring and summer, with action on Wednesday through Saturday.
WILDER WEDNESDAY
Mike Wilder, one of the top reinsmen at The Meadows over the past two decades, will be making his first drives of the season this Wednesday, March 29.Ā He is slated to drive in 9 of the 13 races.Ā While he hasnāt driven in a pari-mutuel race at all in 2023, Wilder did appear in four qualifying races at Spring Garden Ranch in Florida last week, and will drive in at least four qualifiers at The Meadows tomorrow (Tuesday, March 28).Ā Wilder spent the winter in Florida training young horses for his familyās Altmeyer-Wilder Racing Stable.
BURKE IN THE WINNERS CIRCLE
Last Mondayās memo previewed the fact that leading trainer Ron Burke was making his first appearance as a driver for the season.Ā He won that Wednesday (March 22) race with Rose Run Yorick, marking his first pari-mutuel purse win since 2016.
