WILDER CATCHES FIRE
Mike Wilder continued his hot streak at The Meadows last week, with six wins on the Thursday card and 11 for the week. Despite taking the first three months of the season off to winter train in Florida, he is now 7th overall in wins at the track for 2023. His 22.4 win percentage is second only to Ronnie Wrenn Jr (26.5%).
COLEMAN HAVING LOCAL SUCCESS
Trainer Angela Coleman joined several other Midwest-based trainers that shipped from Running Aces to The Meadows for the winter. But while the others have all headed back to Minnesota or Indiana for the summer, Coleman has remained in Western Pennsylvania. Her stable has been sharp in recent weeks, and she now has 12 wins in 65 starts for the year, an 18.5 win percentage. She currently ranks 11th in wins among local trainers.
GRIFFEY MAKES SUCCESSFUL RETURN
The gelding Griffey made his local debut a winning one last Thursday, May 11. While it’s not unusual to see a horse when its first start of the year, Griffey’s layoff was a bit longer than most. Prior to his qualifier on April 25, his most recent start was on July 23, 2021, a layoff of 21 months. A former stake colt in Indiana, the son of Trolley is now owned by the Kahrig Racing Stable Co. and trained by Dana Kahrig. Spencer Kahrig was in the bike for the win. He moves up in class this Thursday into NW2 company.

We are seekingff Z an outrider to assist with our racing and qualifying programs, and also a member of the track crew, to assist with daily maintenance of our main track and jog track.
