SCHEDULE CHANGES ON THE WAY

After the card this Friday, March 29, The Meadows will be taking a scheduled break for track maintenance.  There will be no live harness racing from Saturday, March 30 through the first week of April.  Qualifying races will be held on Tuesday, April 9, and pari-mutuel cards will begin on Wednesday, April 10.  When racing resumes, we will go into our 4-day/week Spring/Summer racing schedule, Wednesday through Saturday, post time 12:45.

FAREWELL, TOTE BOARD

One of the major projects that will take place during the first week of April will be the replacement of The Meadows’ infield video board.  A new, larger video board will be put into place, in front of the current tote board.  Later this spring, the tote board, a fixture at the track for more than 60 years, will be removed.

BLACKSMITH NEEDED

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is in search of a part-time paddock blacksmith to help cover 1-2 racing days per week during the summer, and fill-in as needed this fall.  Interested parties can contact the Human Resources office, 724-503-1200.
