12 QUALIFIERS SET FOR TUESDAY

The Meadows will host 12 harness racing qualifying races this Tuesday morning at 10:30, including 9 races exclusively for two-year-olds.  A total of 55 freshmen will attempt to qualify.  All qualifiers can be watched live on the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association Facebook page and are archived the next day at this link.

 INITIAL 2YO STAKE RACES OF THE SEASON SET FOR SATURDAY

The first 2-year-old stake races of the season will take place this Saturday, June 29 at The Meadows.  Freshmen filly trotters will compete in PA Sire Stake and PA Stallion Series action.  The draw for Saturday will take place this Wednesday (June 26).  Post time for the card is 12:45pm.

POP-UP SERIES ACTION

Several of the 2YO filly trotters that will compete this Saturday participated in the first leg of a Pop-Up Series this past Saturday.  This week, Pop-Up Series will get underway on Thursday for 2YO filly pacers, and on Friday for both 2YO colt trotters and 2YO colt pacers.  A field of 8 has been drawn for the filly pace, carded as Race #2 on Thursday.  Four of the eight fillies are making their first lifetime starts, and all 8 are looking for their first career win.

 WILDER 7 WINS AWAY FROM MILESTONE

Just a few days removed from his father-in-law Dan Altmeyer getting his 1000^th training win since trainer records were kept, Mike Wilder is on the verge of a milestone win.  He enters this week just 7 wins shy of 9,000.  He has six drives slated for Wednesday afternoon.

THIS WEEK’S SCHEDULE

The Meadows Racing will race Wednesday and Thursday at 12:45pm, Friday evening at 5:10pm and Saturday at 12:45pm, with 13-race cards planned daily this week.
