LIGHTING UP THE BOARD
Hollywood Casino at The Meadows hosted a couple of extra large payoffs this past week. On Wednesday, there were two winning tickets in the 50-cent Pentafecta in Race #4, each one worth $5,167. On Thursday, 142-1 harness racing longshot RT Wonder Pone finished second in a NW1 trot, resulting in a $437 place payoff and a $182.20 show price. While the large place payoff falls about $50 short of the all-time harness racing record, it is believed to be a local high.
HOLIDAY RACING SCHEDULE
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, The Meadows will only host one race card this week. The track will card 15 races on Wednesday as the pre-holiday card gets underway at 12:45pm. Regular 3-day/week racing will resume on December 4.
JENSON CATCHING ON
Brady Jenson has brought his stable back to The Meadows for another winter of racing, but this year he is gaining ground as a catch-driver as well. Fresh off his driving championship at Running Aces, Jenson is picking up drives from various trainers, in addition to driving his own stock. He finished on the board with four of six drives last week at The Meadows, including one victory, and is listed to drive in eight of 15 races on Wednesday.
