RETURN TO REGULAR HARNESS RACING SCHEDULE THIS WEEK

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is back to its usual winter schedule of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday racing this week, post time 12:45pm each day.  In cooperation with the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program and the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association, The Meadows will offer a $5,000 guarantee on the Late Pick4 pool each day.

TUESDAY QUALIFIERS

Qualifying races will also be back in their regular spot this Tuesday at 11:00am, after weather forced a schedule change last week.  The qualifiers, as always, can be seen live on the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association’s Facebook page.

MERRIMAN TOPS DRIVING LIST

Aaron Merriman has the hot hand at The Meadows so far in January among drivers, leading the way with 32 wins.  He is followed by Ronnie Wrenn Jr (29) and Dave Palone (25).  Rounding out the top-5 are Hunter Myers (21) and Jeremy Indof (10).

PRESTO TAKES TRAINING LEAD

With four victories this past week, Brandon Presto has moved to the top of the list among trainers with 14 wins.  He is followed by Ron Burke (12) and Dirk Simpson (10).  Brady Jenson and Cory Kresier are tied for fourth with 7 victories each.  Justin Pirillo has the top winning percentage, at 40% with 6 wins from just 15 starts.
