LIVE HARNESS RACING TUESDAY, INCLUDING LOUPRINT WORKOUT

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows will host a special Tuesday afternoon card tomorrow, August 19 with 13 races starting at 12:45pm.  After race 2 on the live card, North America Cup winner Louprint (Sweet Lou) will take to the track for an Official Workout in front of the judges, which will be timed and treated as a race line by the US Trotting Association.  The workout will be shown live during The Meadows simulcast show between races 2 and 3.

THREE DAYS OF RACING THIS WEEK

In addition to the special Tuesday card, races will take place on Wednesday and Thursday in their usual time slot at 12:45pm.  There will be no live racing on Friday and Saturday this week due to a country music festival.

THURSDAY FEATURE

Thursday’s card will feature five stake events for freshman colt pacers.  Two $69,000+ divisions of the top level PA Sire Stake will take place, along with three $20,000 splits of the PA Stallion Series.  Two Ron Burke trainees head the first PASS event, Melillo and Al Papi.  Melillo (Sweet Lou) has one win and four second place finishes in five starts, with a mark of 1:53 and earnings over $64,000.  Al Papi (Papi Rob Hanover) is 2-for-4 with a mark of 1:51.3 and over $75,000 in earnings.  In the second division, the group of six has already combined for 14 wins and nearly $350,000 in earnings.  Frantic Hanover (Stay Hungry), trained by Ron Burke, is undefeated in four starts with a mark of 1:50.4 and will likely be the morning line favorite once final drivers have been named on Tuesday morning.  Thursday’s card has a total of 13 races with the first race at 12:45pm

If you would like additional information at any point, please reach out to track announcer Jeff Zidek (jeff.zidek@pennentertainment.com).
