Hollywood Casino at The Meadows posted its largest harness racing handle of the 2023 season on Thursday afternoon, June 8.

The 12-race total of $1,066,550 was the highest total since Adios Day in July of 2022.

“We’d like to thank all of the bettors for their support,” said Director of Racing Scott Lishia. “It was a successful day, and that’s also due in part to our horsemen for keeping us supplied with large fields.”

Of the 12 races, eleven had full fields of 9 programmed, with one field of eight.

The Meadows returns to action on Friday evening with a 5:10 post time.  Saturday’s post will be 11:30AM, an early Triple Crown starting time, featuring 14 races including several stake events.

Ourlittlemiracle (Bettor’s Delight) let Lydeo do the heavy lifting on the front end, then kicked by her in the Lightning Lane to capture Thursday’s (June 8) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Ourtlittlemiracle (#4) beats Lydeo to the wire

Lydeo was pressured for much of the back half by Party Cruiser, who sustained her first-over bid. That set the stage for Ourlittlemiracle’s winning move. The 5-year-old mare threw down a :28 final quarter for Dave Palone to edge Lydeo by a head in 1:51.3. The game Party Cruiser finished third.

Ron Burke trains Ourlittlemiracle, who extended her lifetime bankroll to $211,163, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

OURLITTLEMIRACLE REPLAY

Mike Wilder piloted four winners on the 12-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Friday, first post 5:10 PM.
