Monticello, NY— Gregory Merton drove three winners on Monticello Raceway’s Monday (Jan. 8) card, including the $6,500 harness racing Open Fillies and Mares pace with Meadowbrook Jenny (Rockin Image).
Thinking Of A Card (Adam Moeykens) took the early lead in the feature race, but was overcome by Meadowbrook Jenny from the outside as they reached the quarter mile in :29.1. Meadowbrook Jenny was holding on to the lead, with Thinking Of A Card in second and Sunshine Filly (Bruce Aldrich Jr) racing in third as they approached the half mile in 1:00.3.
From the outside, Pleasure Seeker (Michael Merton) moved to steal second, leaving Thinking Of A Card in third as they passed the three-quarter mile in 1:29.4. Making their way down the stretch, Meadowbrook Jenny was fighting for the lead between Thinking Of A Card on the inside and Pleasure Seeker on the outside. Meadowbrook Jenny got the victory in 1:59.1.
Pleasure Seeker finished in second and Thinking Of A Card came in third.

Meadowbrook Jenny is a 5-year-old mare owned by Room4040 LLC Stables and trained by Peter Pellegrino. She paid $5.80 to win.
Adam Moeykens got a driving double and Robert Lounsbury enjoyed a training double.
