Driver Mike Merton and harness racing trainer Rob Harmon combined to have a grand slam afternoon including a win with Kilowatt Kid N (American Ideal) during the $11,000 Open II Handicap Pace At Tioga Downs on Sunday (May 14).
In the feature Rebellious (Ridge Warren) grabbed the front and was first to the quarter in :27.3.Ā Ā He used a :29.0 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.3.Ā Ā He was first to three-quarters in 1:23.3.
As they made the turn for home Tuggin On My Heart (Aaron Byron) popped the pocket as Kilowatt Kid N ($10.00) came three-wide.Ā Ā Kilowatt Kid N blew right on by to win in a seasonal best of 1:52.0.Ā Ā Tuggin On My Heart finished second.Ā Ā Cyrus N (Lauren Tritton) was third best.
Kilowatt Kid N is a 9-year-old gelding by American Ideal.Ā Ā He is owned by Michael Spacarelli.Ā Ā It was his fourth win this season and his 19thĀ career victory.

Merton and Harmon got their other wins with Third Edition ($4.20), Coalford Bythesea ($3.70), and Jackie Moon ($2.40).
