Monte Miki to stand at Midland Acres

Midland Acres is pleased to announce that Monte Miki (Always B Miki-Montenegro), the Dan Patch Award winner as the top 2-year-old male harness racing pacer of 2021, will stand his first season at stud in 2023 at Midland Acres in Bloomingburg, Ohio for a fee of $5,000.

Monte Miki won 6 of 7 starts as a two-year-old while earning $665,276, by far the leader in his division.

Monte Miki took home divisional honors on the strength of two major stakes wins — the $650,960 Metro at Woodbine Mohawk Park in 1:52.2 and the $600,000 Breeders Crown at The Meadowlands in 1:53.2. He took his lifetime record of 1:50.4 in his Breeders Crown elimination.

Monte Miki brings a great outcross for broodmares by Somebeachsomewhere, Western Hanover and other major sire lines. He is a tall, dark stallion with beautiful conformation, standing at 16.2 hands, with the heart and pedigree of a champion. He is certain to have an immediate impact among the Ohio, and national, stallion ranks.
