Northfield, Ohio…December 3, 2025…Stumpy, handled by trainer Edward Miller, justified his 1 to 10 odds and handily won the Great Lakes Amateur Driving Association (GLADA) at Northfield Park on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

STUMPY REPLAY

The five-year-old gelded son of What The Hill took charge on this cold, windy evening to take charge at the quick :28.2 opening marker and carved up subsequent panels of :59.2 and 1:29.4 with his :30 romp home left him unblemished at the wire in 1:59.4

Trainer Edward Miller was in the sulky for owner Allen Miller with nary a sole competitor ever putting an anxious moment during the mile.

Fox Valley Nautica, the longest shot on the board at 54 to 1, finished second for Larry Ferrari while Kandy Sweet enjoyed a ground saving journey from the inside post to report home third for Justin Van Otterloo.
Commander Tom rallied from 7th at the third station to finish fourth while Mo Bay employed a double bubble backside move to grab the nickel.

For Stumpy, it was his sixth success of the season in 32 starts with his earnings vaulting to $50,726. He has 16 lifetime wins and $224,391 in bounty.

For Edward Miller, the win was his 20th in 39 starts with his UDRS (batting average) leaping to .632 in 25 starts.

Miller’s training win was his 133rd of the year with his money on the training side of the ledger now at $1,402,457, the fifth consecutive year he’s punched over the million dollar mark in bounty..
The 28-year-old Navarre, Ohio native now is within two scores of his best year ever in wins—that recorded in 2021.

The winner paid $2.20 to his multitude of faithful.

The GLADA Club is one of several amateur driving clubs in the U.S.A. whose members donate all earnings from driving in these events to charity benefiting local, State and national 501(C-3) organizations.
