Million dollar earner Karl to be syndicated

After careful consideration, the owners of Karl (Tactical Landing–Avalicious–RC Royalty), 2, 1:51; 3, 1:50; $2,046,066—Christina and Nancy Takter, Black Horse Racing (Barry Guariglia), Crawford Farms Racing, LLC, and Bender Sweden, Inc.—are proud to announce that Karl will stand at Southwind Farms in New Jersey, joining the ranks of North America’s elite trotting stallions.

Karl is the only trotter in history to earn over $1 million in both his two- and three-year-old seasons. At two, he won 9 of 10 starts, including the Kentucky Sire Stakes and $400,000 final, the Bluegrass Stakes, the elimination and $700,000 final of the Breeders Crown, the $267,500 Kindergarten Final, and topping off his incredible 2-year-old Dan Patch Award winning season by winning the $423,000.00 Valley Victory Stakes by open lengths.

At three, he continued his dominance, sweeping the New Jersey Sire Stakes and $240,000 final, the Reynolds Stakes, and capturing both the elimination and $1,000,000 final of the Hambletonian in dramatic fashion. He also won three legs of the Kentucky Sire Stakes before sickness and an injury sidelined him.

Now, after a year of rehabilitation, Karl is ready to begin his stallion career. Frozen semen is available, and three of five test mares are confirmed in foal.
