Moment In The Sun (Donato Hanover) was given a perfect drive by harness racing reinsman Tim Tetrick in capturing the $12,600 feature trot at Harrah’s Philadelphia Wednesday (August 2).
The 6th race feature saw Jolly Rancher (Joe Poliseno) leave quickly from post seven to take command of the race with race favorite Jet Zetta (Troy Beyer) grabbing the two-hole spot as they raced by the opening quarter mile in :28.4.
By the half mile in :59.1 Jolly Rancher was still in command as Captain Molly C (Chase Vandervort) came first-over to challenge and by the backstretch, Moment In The Sun was second-over. They went by the three-quarters in 1:28.
By the top of the stretch, Captain Molly C cleared to the lead as Jolly Rancher began to fade and Moment In The Sun was getting into high gear. As they came to the wire, Tetrick and Moment In The Sun had pulled away from the field to win by three lengths in 1:57.2. Captain Molly C was second with Bur Bun (Patrick Ryder) closing for third place.
