Monticello, N.Y. – The North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA) and harness racing’s Catskill Amateur Drivers Club made their annual donation to the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless today at Monticello Raceway.
Horsemen Alan Schwartz of the NAADA, a Marine veteran, and Jerry Fielding of the Catskill Amateur Drivers Club, an Army veteran, presented Cathy Krieter, Director of the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless, with two checks totaling $3,000 for the Sullivan County Veterans Food Pantry.
Schwartz, who also serves as President of the Monticello Harness Horsemen’s Association, said, “I think those who are more fortunate have an obligation to step in and help those who are in need.”
After the winner’s circle presentation, Fielding said, “We have been making this donation now for almost 10 years. We are happy that we can contribute to such a worthy cause.”
