Morairtime handles sloppy oval

Morairtime put a select field of harness racing trotters to sleep in the featured $16,000 winners over trot at Dover Downs on Tuesday.

Jack Parker utilized the inside post and early speed to cut all the fractions of :28.3, :57.3 1:26.1 for a final clocking of 1:55 over a sloppy track.

Swansea, the public’s second choice in the wagering, could not gain on the leader in the stretch and finished second. Tim Tetrick drove for trainer Scott DiDomenico. Northern Express finished third for driver Russell Foster and trainer Arty Foster Jr.

Morairtime (Airzoom Lindy) won by 2 ¾ lengths and paid $4.20 for the 1:55 win. She is owned by James D. Moore III of Concord, North Carolina. Carol Jamieson-Parker is the trainer.
