Upset winner in Mares Open Pace

HARRINGTON, DE – Carrie Malone’s Michelle’s Jazz ($21.00, Tony Morgan) was an upset harness racing winner in the $20,000 Mares Open Pace Tuesday at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.4.

The 7-year-old Roll With Joe mare fanned three-deep in the stretch and hit her best gears late to catapult to the lead in the shadow of the wire over Feeling Sweet and Tae.

It was the 5th win of the year for Michelle’s Jazz, who has banked $45,852 this year for trainer Brian Malone.

It was one of three wins on the card for Morgan, who celebrated his 17,000th career win Sunday.

Art Stafford Jr. had 4 wins on the card. Montrell Teague had a double.
