Muskateer Hanover fired off the wings of the starting gate first and never looked back. Dale Yeah landed in the pocket and the remaining pacers grabbed seats approaching the first turn.

Musketeer Hanover, the 5/2 betting favorite,  sprinted clear to an opening

quarter in 27.1. The field remained in a single file lineup as Muskateer Hanover hustled to the half in 55.2, a 28.1 quarter.

Steven’s Saloon moved to the outside up the backstretch and grinded 1st over into the chilly Dover air. Wehadababyetzaboy countered with a gapping 2nd over try.  Dale Yeah remained in the pocket.

Muskateer Hanover and the parked out Steven’s Saloon were eyeball to eyeball, reaching the three quarters in 1:22.4, a stepped up 27.2 quarter.

At the top of the stretch Muskateer Hanover held a confident lead to the wire and won by a half length. He paced his mile in 1:51 and paid $7.40 for the win and to his investors. Dale Yeah remained in the pocket finishing 2nd. Steven’s Saloon raced overland and finished 3rd.

MUSKATEER HANOVER REPLAY

Muskateer Hanover is owned by Mulligan Stables of Georgetown, Delaware and Calcutta Stable LLC of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Jason Johnson trained and Allan Davis drove.  Hanover Shoe Farms were the breeders.
