America’s premier amateur harness racing driving series, the North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA), has once again donated to important charitable causes.
NAADA’s board recently canvassed its members for donation recommendations and received quite a few that NAADA intends to act upon.
Former active duty United States Marine, Alan Schwartz, NAADA’s First Vice President, was thrilled to quickly embrace the suggestion that the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which supports United States military veterans and others, share in a donation to the tune of $2,500.
Another $2,500 will be allocated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, which provides free services by dedicated practitioners in aid of children afflicted with the toughest childhood cancers and other life-threatening pediatric diseases. Joe Faraldo, NAADA’s President, stated; “NAADA, like all the other amateur clubs, will continue to proudly support these 501 (c)(3) entities in the name of this great harness racing industry”. It is estimated that the US amateur clubs have donated nearly a half million dollars to various charities over recent years.
