Aaron Byron rattled off four consecutive victories on the Tuesday harness racing card at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
The 40 year old Canadian invader has been very impactful in his roughly two months of racing at the Spa and on Tuesday, the talented reinsman had his best day since coming to town.
Byron piloted four winners on Tuesday including a pair for trainer Peg Spagnola. Spagnola trainees sprung a pair of mild upsets as Byron got a pocket trip with young pacer On A Whim (American Ideal) who scored in 1:57.4 to record her second victory of the season. On A Whim broke a 1 for 32 in the win column paying $10 to win in her score for owners Spagnola, Buzanowski and Licari.
Spagnolaās double was completed when Premier Victor went coast-to-coast with Byron at the controls. Premier Victor (Pilot Discretion) was a runner-up while a beaten favorite in last weekās start (Nov 17) but on Tuesday, the sophomore trotter would not be denied. The wire-to-wire win came in 1:59.4 for Premier Victor who won for the sixth time this season and for the third time in his last five starts. The three year old is owned by John Urbanowicz. Premier Victor paid $15.60 to win to score the upset in his $8,000 race for young trotters.
