NBA star Nikola Jokic’s colt wins in Italy

National Basketball Association’s Nikola Jokic, who is a five-time NBA All-Star and the NBA’s Most Valuable Player in 2021 and 2022, is also a harness racing Standardbred owner and his top three-year-old trotting colt, Enzo Jet (Maharajah – Uriba Jet), scored another victory Saturday, April 15 in Italy.

Competing at the Capannelle Racecourse in Rome, Enzo Jet was driven by Andrea Farolfi from post four over the sloppy track.

Parked first-over until clearing to the lead after the first quarter, Enzo Jet held the field at bay until the three-quarters when Enea Sl and driver R Vecchione came first-over and pressured Enzo Jet all the way to the finish wire.

Enzo Jet won by a half a length, timed for the 1,640-meter race in 1:58.1 over the five-eighths mile oval.

It was the seventh win in just nine starts for Enzo Jet. He has become one of the more promising three-year-olds in Europe. Earlier this season he won in 1:57f, making him one of the fastest three-year-old’s in Europe.
