It was revealed today (March 13) that there will be a new track announcer for the upcoming harness racing season at Oak Grove Racing in Kentucky and his name is Peter Kleinhans.

Kleinhans, 59, has worn many hats during his career in harness racing. He has been a trainer and driver, owner and breeder since the late 1980’s and during that time has also called races at numerous racetracks and worked on racing broadcasts. In addition, he is also an accomplished album producing musician and singer.
The 2024 season begins at Oak and Grove Racing on April 1. They will be racing Monday’s and Tuesday’s at 4:00 pm (EST).
“It’s so excited to become the track announcer for Oak Grove Racing in Kentucky for the upcoming 2024 season,” Kleinhans said on his Facebook page. “The whole team at Oak Grove has welcomed me, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with everyone at this young and exciting track. The purses are great, top stables are coming down, and the quality and competitiveness of the races over the 5/8th mile track should make for a great betting product!”
