New leader in week two Top Ten Poll

There was significant movement in this week’s harness racing Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, with Funatthebeach N (Somebeachsomewhere) taking the top spot after his Battle of Lake Erie victory.

Previous leader Jimmy Freight (Sportswriter), who finished second in that race, slipped to third behind Ecurie D Dk (Infinitif). Test Of Faith (Art Major) shot up five places after her convincing Roses Are Red elimination win. Pebble Beach (Downbytheseaside), following his North America Cup elimination score, made his first appearance of the season in fifth place. Saturday’s Mohawk Park stakes eliminations continued to have an impact as Lyons Sentinel (Captaintreacherous) went from unranked to sixth after winning the other Roses Are Red elim division.

The inactive Linedrive Hanover (Betting Line) and Lovedbythemasses (Muscle Mass) both dropped four spots. Bulldog Hanover, after dominating Free-for-All foes at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday, was given equal respect to Lovedbythemasses. Fashion Schooner (Walner) dropped two places to 10th.
