New pop-up series for freshmen at The Meadows

The Meadows Racing Office has announced four harness racing pop-up series for two-year-olds starting the week of June 22.

There will be four series, for colts and fillies divided by gait.

To be eligible, 2YOs must be non-winners of $7,500 life as of June 1.  There will be two $8,000 legs and a final set for $12,000 plus added money.  Horses sired in any state are eligible.

There is no nomination fee, but there will be a $100 starting fee the first time a horse is declared to the series.  The top 8 point-earners will make the final.

Please note that trainers and owners are limited to two entries per race and in the final.
