Lexington, KY – April 25, 2023 – New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program’s annual Open Barn and BBQ is coming up Friday April 28, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at their Mereworth Farm facility in Lexington, Ky.
This educational and fundraising event will feature three training demonstrations by retired racehorse professionals, as well as food, drinks, music and a silent auction. Guests may also meet adoptable horses and tour the grounds.
One of the auction highlights is an Exmark Commercial 60″ radius S Zero Turn Mower donated by Equine Equipment and Exmark. As an added bonus, the mower can be picked up at the winning bidder’s local dealer anywhere in the United States and Canada.
Also included among the over 100 items are a South African Safari; a two-night stay for four on a horse farm in Lexington; original art and signed prints; equine themed jewelry, apparel and accessories; tack, farm tours; bourbon and wine baskets; Breeders Cup travel bag and swag; and custom pottery featuring the hair of Authentic and Into Mischief. The silent auction is in progress now and concludes at 8:00 p.m. Friday.
