There was no holiday hangover at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway on Friday (Dec. 26) as No Foolin April scored her third straight open pace harness racing victory, driver Brett Miller recorded four wins and the punters wagered the fourth highest total in the raceway’s history.

The $28,000 Filly & Mare Open Pace was essentially over in the first sixteenth of the mile when Brett Miller basted No Foolin April to the early lead, putting her main rival Louisville Gb (Austin Hanners) into the pocket.

No Foolin April was cruising through the opening panels of :26.3, :55.1 and 1:23.1.

Louisville Gb took up the chase in the lane, but No Foolin April was able to hold off the Great Britian bred by a neck in 1:52.1.

Seaside Diva (Chris Page) edged out Jillian B Miki (Tyler Smith) for third.

Adam Short is the breeder-owner-trainer of the four-year-old Nob Hill High mare.

She finishes 2025 with 10 wins in 26 seasonal starts and $190,935 in earnings.

In the $18,000 condition claiming pace, Miss Hula Dancer (Brett Miller) rallied of cover and gunned down Lady Cafe Au Lait (Chris Page) by a neck.

Fox Valley Tessa (Tyler Smith) fought Defining Moment (Sam Widger) for the early lead and passed the opening half in :26.2 and :55.2.

Cinamontoastcruch (Trace Tetrick) was the first to pull to the outside, providing cover for Miss Hula Dancer and Lady Café Au Lait, and cleared before the three-quarters in 1:23.2.

Around the final turn Miss Hula Dancer grabbed a narrow lead and held off a closing Lady Café Au Lait in 1:52.4.

Plays In The Shade (Austin Hanners) passed Droppin Bikinis (Josh Sutton) in the lane for third.

Ken Rucker conditions the Rockin Image mare for Ashley Russell and Jack Freeman.

Driver Brett Miller would go on to win two additional races on the card with S I P (1:55.2) and Lightning Frenzy (1:57.1).

Bettors wagered $874,876 on the 14-race card.

Just three cards remain on the 2025 Dayton Raceway schedule. Racing will resume on Monday (Dec. 29) with a 4:00 pm post time. Free past performance pages are available at hollywooddaytonraceway.com.
